Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson Both lawyers. At the age of five when she left for Oxfordshire and enrolled in an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma always had the desire to become a professional actor from the age of aged six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting school with part-time courses. When she was 10 years old, Emma took part in many Stagecoach productions and plays. In 1999 casting began to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the film adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was found by agents via her Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were chosen to play the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first film on the screen was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone which was released in 2001. The movie broke all records for opening day and weekend numbers, and was the top-grossing 2001 film. Film critics praised the film as well as the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph in Britain, which is widely distributed and widely read, praised her performance as admirable. Later Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her role in the film, winning the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in the Feature Film.
