Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a famous Indian actress, best known for her role in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! She began her career in the 80s before coming into prominence thanks to her character in the Tezaab film, where she starred with veteran actor Anil Kapoor. Her subsequent appearance on screen was Dil along with Aamir. As a child, the Mumbai-born dancer began developing her skills at a young age. When she was still in high school, she attempted acting, but most of those early films were unsuccessful. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and was one of the top actors in the Indian film business. Following her marriage the actress took time away from performing until she returned. In the last few years, Dixit played a significant role on Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit is nominated to win fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. Padma Shri - the fourth most prestigious civilian award of India is awarded to Dixit. The award was also given to her for her efforts in the social sector.
